Introduction to various machine-sewing techniques, as well as Zan straw braid and natural straw braid.

General objective :

Adjusting the machines and introducing the different sewing techniques for Zan straw and natural straw by machine. Making a tube, a strip, a blade, a button by hand, straw hats (natural, Zan and Sisal) sewn by machine (molding according to square or ball cap, finishing).


Prerequisites :

be introduced to the work of molding a hat, know how to sew and have a chainette straw sewing machine (ANITA straight stitch model)


Training program

Learning sewing machine settings. Creating a tube, a band, a brim, and a handmade button.
Making two straw hats (natural and Zan) using machine sewing (blocking on a square or round crown block, stiffening).

Teaching methods :

The entire method aims to give the trainee maximum autonomy when repeating the gestures covered during training and to promote their future development.The proposed method is essentially based on practice.

Through the design and realization of a project and according to precise specifications, the trainee learns by practicing the basic gestures of the work for the realization of custom hairstyles.

The specifications guarantee the acquisition of the techniques necessary for the work, provides the means to use the appropriate tools and methods.

The trainer helps the trainee in the development of his/her personal project, will be able to guide him/her according to the technical feasibility, taking into account the time allotted.

The trainer checks and corrects the learning of each technical step by the trainee.

Any achievements made by the trainees will be used by the trainer to discover specific techniques, analyze difficulties and solutions to be provided.


Assessment methods :

Assessment sheet of acquired knowledge completed at the end of the course by the trainer and the trainee.

The training center issues, at the end of the course, a certificate of completion of training as well as a training certificate.
