Duration : 1h30. 1h of guided visit (including the hat-making demonstration) and 30 mn of free visit (synergetic trades and fashion gallery).
We will show you the stages to make a felt hat, from rabbit hair, with functioning machines and hat-making demonstration. You will also find explanations about synergetic trades such as milliner, hat blocker, hat retailer or gilder.
The fashion gallery presents hats in History, from Middle Ages to Haute-Couture creations : more than 400 headdresses exposed, including models from Jean-Paul Gaultier, Yves Saint Laurent, Pierre Cardin, Paco Rabanne, Hermes… You can also try some hats and take a picture !
